Whoo. That is what i said when I ordered simcity on line, was promised to play the beta, an was send an inlog on sauterday night that was valid till sunday afternoon (I was gone for the weekend) and when I mailed to EA games to ask for an other inlog code the never responded. Very Arrogant. My good sim city feeling is gone. They dont do what they promiseand don t care!!! You are warned.
i hope your wrong..... it looks so cool
No, no. He's wrong.
I am right. The did not do what they promised me. Sorry guys.
So let me get this straight. They promised you that if you pre-ordered the game that you could get access to the beta a any time you desired? Or did they state the times the Beta would be available and you just failed to read the fine print? Because that's how I remember it happening when I pre-ordered. Sorry you missed the beta, but that's just tough luck, not EA.
Yeah this guy is so reactionary. I was annoyed because i couldn't' download the last beta in time to download because i have a slow connect. The other time I was busy like this guy. But, what he doesn't get is the beta is us helping the game not the game giving us something that we then deserve.Other games have used it differently so maybe that's why expected it. But, probably he's a selfish little baby.
It was a one day beta, and you were gone for the weekend. That is a failure on your part.
Of corse not. Any serious company would tell you in advance or give you a second chance. There is no reason to limit the time of playing. They did not say that when I bought the game. AND...They don't answer my mails. They don't care.
I think the notice about the last beta was out for like 4 or 5 days before it actually happened. With a nice little FAQ and everything. And they DID say it would only be a 24 hour server test. So don't blame EA when you are the one who didn't pay attention...
I was invited to a 5 hour beta test tonight 2/27 but I have to work is that EA's fault no I am just excited to get the game on Tuesday
Just think about this. They did not answer your emails and not let you play while you were gone. Hmm....... 1)We are talking about a huge company here that handles huge budget games and many fanbases. They probably are not gonna read that email for 3 months. 2)You were gone, so that is fail on your part. 3)If you hate the game now, you don't have to rant on a SimCity video. That is what Twitter is for. #CommonSense
Dude, I had the exact same problem! I got in to the beta, but was busy all weekend with friends and work! EA should so restructure their beta schedule (it's impossible) around me and you!
(Note the sarcasm)
It's your fault. Deal with it. EA CAN'T do anything to help you.
Then why don't they answer your mails. They are arrogant. And take a no to easy for granted (dude)
Yeah wow! I can't believe they won't power up their servers (and postpone the release date because they can't do maintenance on them, the whole purpose of the Beta) for one person. They wont even respond to your 1 email out of thousands that requests they do something that is just ridiculous. My heart bleeds for you . . . -_-
Dude, you were gone all weekend! EA ISN'T entitled to send you another code. You're only hurting yourself!
You should kill yourself in protest of their horrible treatment. Then everyone would know how right you were.
Hmm, all those threads about how much Will hated this game... Does this mean they're not true? People can lie on the internet? :o Mind=blown
Great video by the way. I have to say, as a long time Sim City fan, that this new Sim City is a blessing. I've played all the other city sims out there and, although they are cool in their own way, this definitely feels like the Sim City. The scale is appropriate and certainly lets you enjoy The Sims who are your citizens. I would invest huge dollars into this game if I could afford it.
The Sim City for SNES was an emotional experience for me. I don't remember how old I was but I was pretty young. The city then may not be what the city is today but I can tell you that it meant a lot to my childhood. Even the later Sim Cities didn't really invoke the same chemistry as my virgin experience. I hope this inspires a lot of kids in ways I was inspired by my first.
Although simcity 4 was the first sim city i got, ive been waiting ever since i was seven for another awesome experience of depth and simulation, THANKYOU!
The simulation junkie in me is super excited about agents. The fact that there are thousands of citizens that you can zoom in to watch at any time is fantastic. Super excited!
I personally liked the fact that I got a thank you email for playing the beta yet never received access to said beta. No no no...thank you lol
You can tell by looking at Ocean's shirt that every penny of the budget went to game development
It's nice to see Will coming back and looking at how his game has evolved along... And really, he brings up some excellent points about what makes this Sim City a lot more intriguing and challenging than the previous (4 and 3000) games.
For the most part, this game feels more "alive" and does, as Ocean says, "make use of guilt" and "actually gives you an experience you can relate too." And from my beta experince, I got really flustered at the fact that I couldn't make my city as efficient as I wanted it to be due to the constraints... I don't really care for high-population figures or giant cities, I care about highly efficient, productive cities.
In 4, I get so frustrated at how neigh-impossible it is to actually use mass-transit and have no idea of how effective it really it is, but in this game, I can just click on the bus, follow it around, and see just what it has to face in terms of traffic and the overall city layout. The agents just outright show you what's going on, and there's no guesswork or checking charts for playing the game.
Then again, there's probably a lot more strategy hidden in this Sim City and that what's being shown... But as far as Will and Ocean are concerned, it's the emotional factor and how your choices affect the little computer people... Which in turn, comes back to what I'm wanting to get out of this game.
I would really love to get this SimCity....my issues are, first.. how did they come up with such a high price for this game...I mean if I pay close to $72.00 including taxes.....this sucker better live up to its game play. Second ...will it froze up or cut off in the middle a game play...like the SimCity 4 still does....?? I knew there might be some bugs...but with that high fee....I might just wait until next year to purchase it along with reading as much of Reviews on how every day fans play it...before I jump on the SimCity wagon....
I hope Ea Games don't Let this Game Fail !!!
first world problems...
dude i want a beta code
Oceans face as soon as Will said "I'm probably your biggest fan now" absolutely just lit up with every positive emotion known to man.
