This looks like it is an absolutely superb simulation engine. I really can't wait to crack open my own SimCity game as a finished product and watch the progress myself. Hell, I may even stop using the super fast forward button like I constantly did in previous games. I really do like the idea of seeing the representation of the goods being produced, the commercial sectors selling the good, and the consumers buying them from the stores. Please though, don't make it a bitch and a half to rezone an area for a heavier level of occupancy because just being able to overlay a new zone without destroying the buildings is far more convienient than Cities XL's idiotic means by which I have to destroy everything to rezone. Please don't make the city specialzation to hardlined as in don't make it so I HAVE to specialize every city. It's another thing Cities XL tries to get players to do that doesn't work out very well to my estimation. In fact, avoid ever being anything like them. They tried to revolutionize the SimCity formula and failed... miserably by comparison. Just one last thing, how big are these maps per city going to be? I'm sure you guys aren't positive yet given that the simulation is still the most important part which I wholly agree with, but Im sure it's on everyone's mind.

I'm thrilled for this game.

I'm thrilled for this game. But I agree with Cooper00676t in that Cities XL is annoying for having to tear down zones to upgrade density. I liked SC4 in that respect, a LOT. In fact, SC4 is still my favourite city simulator. If this game turns out to be an upgraded and graphically improved version of SC4 with more bells and whistles (or at least similar) then I will be a very happy SimCity customer in 2013!

But think about this boys and girls, it would be cool if they could include drivable cars, ships, and planes like what was in the previous simcity 4. You could use them for trade and do missions such as flying passengers to other regions or for delivering cargo from ships and planes which could give your city a lot of money and rewards. Also, what if you were able to walk around your city through the eyes of a sim? Think about it...
