Welcome to SimCity! My name is Kip Katsarelis and I’m the Senior Producer on SimCity. I’ve had the pleasure of working on one of the most historic franchises in the games industry; one that’s been close to all of our hearts here at the Maxis studio. I played the original SimCity on my parents’ computer for hours on end. It was then I discovered that games were more than just entertainment; they could teach you a bit about the real world. From then on, I always looked at the cities I lived in or places I visited a little differently. Over the years I was continually pulled back to the game I fell in love with as a boy, from the charm of SimCity 2000, to the added complexity of SimCity 3000, and the God-like powers of SimCity 4. Maxis developed tools to turn dreams into reality, to inspire artists, Mayors, and architects across the world. It was this game that eventually motivated me to get into the games industry and join Maxis. I feel your frustration, it's been years since I had the opportunity to play a mediocre version of sim city on a mac. Now that games and macs have caught up a little, we are put on the side. PC users will have days, weeks, months of advantage.

This is pretty sad. For a few month's I been anticipating the release day, just to find out that a Mac version will not be available until later. March 5th at 6:15 PM and not knowing when Mac users will get a chance to play. So what if we can play along with PC users, by the time we get our hands on it, other players will be so ahead. Hopefully we get some sort of in-game compensation. Unfair.

Well, I'm getting my copy
Well, I'm getting my copy installed and ready to go before I hit the hay... FINALLY, after all the waiting, testing, and training with previous games, it is here.
Thank you all for delivering a great product, and hopefully, as an ongoing project that this game is, there will be more great things to come.
