Gameplay Strategy Video #2

Dec 12, 2012
Michael Donahoe, Community Manager

SimCity gameplay always builds excitement. That’s why we’re back with another in-depth strategy video narrated by Lead Designer Stone Librande. If you remember his first video, Stone started a city from scratch with a goal of cashing in big by creating a casino empire.

Now Stone is back, and this time, his gamble has paid off. Below you’ll see how Stone transformed his beginning city into a tourist haven filled with glitz, glamor, and lots of eye-blinding neon lights. But he didn’t do this all alone. Multi-city play is one of the key strategies of playing the new SimCity, and Stone’s video really showcases the benefits of collaborating with neighboring cities in a region. Like, for instance, Stone claims a new city in the region to provide extra power to his casino city, giving him more room to build lavish attractions and avoid all that nasty air pollution. He even receives some help from neighboring fire trucks after he decides to… well, we’ll let you watch and find out.

But this video is only a small taste of what Multi-city play has to offer. We’ll show you a lot more in our next video when Stone works with other cities to complete a Great Work that benefits the entire region. But for now, enjoy our second Gameplay Strategy Video.

[]

Now that you’ve seen Stone’s strategy for building a casino city, how will you decide what city YOU want to build? Let us know in the comments.

The Jackets Mall is easy especially when you're looking for boys Jackets. I found something that my son likes and doesn't have a problem wearing to school every day. The other Jackets didn't have as much style as this one,
ladies bags and blazer
brown Men trouser sale
plus size ladies dress sale

“What deception, all of the statements have links to where they were found”

To a website nobody has heard of, and you expect the information to be accurate there?

“Um...That was a very persuasive article, the writer seemed really smart to me.”

Seem people don’t understand a large vocabulary, so sometimes you have to speak on their level.

And this stupid article is spammed everywhere that’s in no regard helpful to any discussion on this website. So, I don’t hold anything against this person for the flame wars.

Instead of spamming propaganda, actually give you concerns for this game no matter good or bad.

If you want me to speak more professional; I can. But, no fool would understand if I casually stated it. Sometimes you have to be outright blatant about something.

So, if you not satisfied with the game when it comes out in March, you can continue your little “deception” propaganda till then.

Permalink Submitted by Simcrafter12 on Dec 14, 2012

It’s not so much, but really towards the Netuno_SP user, but people should speak their concerns for themselves and not having someone do it for them.

I might suggest a severe name change for that article… (Maybe “concerns” or “apprehensions” instead of “deception”)

They should make it not appear so intimidating. It’s fine to link the article, just some people post it so much without giving any background information on it; just a link and a title, it almost looks like an advertisement. Someone told me not to go there because there virus software said the place was un-safe; so, I have never ventured there.

But above all… PEACE!

I like the idea of building

Permalink Submitted by Dadybigbuks on Dec 13, 2012

I like the idea of building up a city starting with low density and farms, next I would begin replacing the farms with heavy industry and exploitation of resources, then over time as resources deplete I would convert the city to alternate forms of revenue such as casinos. Next I would use the extra revenue to begin building an education based city which would make way for the next step. Eventually my city would evolve into a clean technology heaven. Then I could begin the cycle elsewhere and utilize trade to compensate for the lack of resources into the main metropolis.

Permalink Submitted by hgytrtyftuilyui on Dec 13, 2012

i just had a few things i would like to ask you guys on the simcity team, i was wondering if the dead space between buildings will just be grassy or if you will have the option to plant trees or "paint" a texture on like a forest or garden, the "dead space" between buidlings is important to me, it is a good way to show off the graphics with trees and shrubs and such. My second question is about farms and if they will be included in the game; and if they are included, will they serve a purpose such as a tradeable resource? Thanks guys, really looking forward to the game

Permalink Submitted by MrSupastar on Dec 13, 2012

Maxis, will the game have the ability to have farms and trade their crops as a resource? Also, do we have the option to not give electricity and other resources such as firemen to other cities? And if we do have the option, is the price set for these neighboring city deals, or can we negotiate with the other player?

It would be nice if they could maybe add some occasional weather conditions. For example, hurricanes if you are near the ocean, or rainstorms with lightning and thunder if you are in tropical areas. Also it would be awesome if they added the "U-Drive it" vehicles, such as the cargo ships, trains, cars, and airplanes. Imagine using the cargo ships to do trade with other cities in your region and earn money and rewards for doing it right.
