This is a link to several hundred comments posted by many people who all say they will not buy the game. It is solely because that they will require a constant Internet connection to play the game, and not all of them have this privilege. Please, Maxis, if there is anything you can do to make the constant Internet connection OPTIONAL, and allow players to play offline, please do it. A lot of sales are being lost just because of this reason. They will likely choose to pirate the game instead of buying it legitimately. This DRM won't remove piracy -- on the contrary. It will increase it. These people love the way the game looks, and will definitely buy it if it could just be played offline as well as online. Just please make it an option. Don't encourage them to pirate this great game.

I would be incredibly happy if you accepted my Beta Application. I've played countless hours of SimCity 4 , and I really would like to spend countless of hours also in the Beta. Oh , and I would actually tell the developers about the bugs I found , rather than just play it. Thanks!

this simcity is absolutely fantastic no doubt you guys have done a good job, but this always online business is a big let down, it would feel like you dont really own the game, please guys like the comment above make being online an option, i would love to play this game but i cant stand the fact that its always online, please guys listen to your fans!
